auto cw: could contain food

Just rolled up on @aepasek making candied wild violets

@turtlebirb don't forget Female Protagonist, Honda Civic, and Boutros "Boutros-Ghali" Boutros-Ghali

I've been working on a zine about place and energy in Edmonton. Here's some of the illustrations.

@robertwgehl hmmm, that's never happened to me before. Seems a bit self-aggrandizing if nothing else. I'd be tempted to do some Googling to see who's been publishing on this repeated topic...

Did you know that General Motors published a cartoon version of Hayek's The Road to Serfdom? And that it includes an illustration of a dictator snapping golf clubs over his knee like twigs while men perform aerobics in the background?

Registration is open (& free!) for Energy In/Out of Place, a virtual research-creation workshop I've helped plan.

We'll be exploring how energy embeds itself into landscapes and social communities.

What aesthetic/media forms let us best explore these dynamics? And what methods hold during a global pandemic? A group of excellent scholars, grounded in 5 different global sites, are thinking through these questions together. Join in what promises to be a great exchange!

My job today was to enter my mom's abandoned school and make a bunch of banners that the teaching staff could use to shoot an inspirational video for their kids.

@CaribenxMarciaX Looks so stylish!

Also, unsolicited advice from someone who went through too many rounds of physical therapy because of her PhD work set up: maybe consider raising your laptop to eye height with a stack of books and using an external mouse and keyboard? Ergonomics can come at you fast, unfortunately.
