Marius Kothor wrote an excellent essay on how academia relies on 'imposter syndrome' as a way to ignore systematic racism - by saying 'it's imposter syndrome' it becomes a problem of self esteem rather than the institution.

@Cyborgneticz this!! I talk about this with my peers in the FGLI community all the time, coupled with the "hidden curriculum", navigating college is a mess. Come to think of it I have to email back a professor that due to cultural differences none of the suggested administrative supports would be able to possibly help me right now.

@pixouls It is rough, and graduate school is somehow even worse cause the rules change, and since you're studying under someone you're expected to follow them and their guidance - so the toxicity of this just heightens
