@KrisO I find that talking to people about the material helps a lot. That's what gets me excited, moreso than reading books.

I use a digital student planner and I set up all my assessment dates and exams before classes start, and I make sure I keep checking stuff off as I so it so I can see the progress I'm making :) it's a little hard to use but My Study Life is good and is on both mobile and desktop.
If you like gameification, maybe try Habitica

@astralura Since I'm only an online student My student life is a little overkill, but I definitely use habitica to help getting things done (along with a kanban board and a basic calendar).

That's a really great effort! Personally I struggle with Habitica but I love it as a concept.
