Finnish Santa etymology projection
OK, so Finnish Santa has come down in the world, reduced to the same Coca Cola slob the rest of the world has.
But his name is still "Joulupukki", which means "Yule Goat".
Used to be a dude in sleigh-driving clothes with a goat-head mask made of straws on his head, going from house to house handing out presents in exchange for "wheatsies and oatsies", i.e. sweet breads and beer.
I prefer to use the cognate extension "Yule Puck", tho.
Surely kin to Old Hob.
