2013 and collapse of the open web

I am throwing together a timeline of the collapse of the open web in the 2010s and the year 2013 keeps coming up. OTOH, that was the year I started my site and moved to Austria. Does 2013 feel important in that way to you?

@bookandswordblog I'd be interested in your timeline, but the truth is that 2013 doesn't seem significant to me. But I was busy with work and family at that time.

@bookandswordblog Would love to see the timeline.

@jaranta I am thinking about how to organize it ... one column for 'events in geeky communities' and one for the corporate and cultural side? A third column for world events like the Global Financial Crisis of 2008 which lead to a collapse in interest rates and investors throwing money at any company which promised great returns through the Internet?
