Open Science/Chemistry 

I have been following some initiatives in Chemistry (such as the OSMalaria, OSAntibiotics, OSMycetoma, the Structural Genomics Consortium, etc) but somehow I think that (concerning Chemistry, of course), it won't be fully open while we're still bound to proprietary softwares (such as chemical drawing packages)

and no, I don't think that JChemPaint, XDrawChem, ChemSketch and BKChem can fill these shoes.
