Plea to authors on titles for conf papers vs. articles 

Please don't give the exact same title to your conference paper and journal article.

It can be a little hellish to track down the correct content, and if things get difficult for a researcher, they just might decide to skip over that resource.

(says person who just placed an ILL request for the article and fully expects to get the conf paper...)

@ramsey Oh yes, once I tracked down the article, I found its DOI. But the citation that I was starting from did not. Google Scholar collapses pubs based on title.

Didn't help that the citation style uses shortened journal names.

Even so, having a DOI (oddly) doesn't really help search through the many databases at the uni that might have a full-text copy.

Nor (very oddly) does the ILL form give you a field for DOI.

Libraries… I dunno.
