I’m and have very good hearing (partially because I've worn earplugs when at shows or clubs for years), yet so much of what she describes also applies to how sound affects me when I’m in a classroom, a conference, a meeting, etc.

This is all part of why and should be core components of what we learn, value, & apply as scholars and instructors.
