trying a heatmap for visualizing this clustering of a similarity matrix but there's got to be a better way, because in reality i have more than there 14 groups of 7, I have like over 100 groups of 7. The labels on this example aren't great, but the graph gives you an idea of what you're looking at.

This is a better version IMO but still I want to consider something besides a heatmap and of course the colors on this aren't the best.

But your goal is still this comparison of cluster members?

@ksteimel So what is really going on is that I have a couple different similarity measures, and you want to see which one does better at saying members of a group are similar to each other, and clustering is one way of doing that - so, yeah, compare the cluster members to each other.

Sorry I might be missing something but would cluster purity be a useful metric?

@ksteimel Sure, that's fine, but what I really want is a good visualization.

Can you visualize the cluster purity?
I don't think visualizing 700 similarity metrics is going to look clean.

Maybe i'm off base though.
