brain: ok I need to learn this and that and do that data-entry and work on articles and the thesis and improve my German. contract says I have to work X hours/day, let’s allocate X/N hours per item, make up an elaborate plan, and draw a tracker.

heart: this topic is so intriguing. and she’s so enthusiastic about it rn, isn’t it contagious?? let’s dive into this textbook and not do anything until we come out the other side!!!

I think this abstract model of context-switchy timesharing between different subjects is something that 1) I absorbed from the educational system and 2) sucks.

it certainly doesn’t work for me at least…
