@patitsas Welcome, I'd love to hear more about what you're working on in the field. Are you combining research and instruction? Professor to me indicates instruction, but I could be wrong there.

@JigmeDatse Professors do many things --- research being our primary activity at research-intensive universities like mine. My research informs my teaching but it is a separate activity for me.

@patitsas That's what I thought based on what little I know about you, and honestly McGill. That's just how everything "felt" for me. I know some people just do research, at least in terms of day to day. Even strict researchers do some education connected to it.
