I finally finished updating the latest version of my lecture notes scripts, which build nice PDFs of slides and notes from a single, combined, easy-to-write Markdown file.

You can even wind up with a pretty decent looking output if you invest some time into the Beamer customization:

@twsh Pandoc's notes function makes it surprisingly painless. I recommend it!

@pence I think that I want a try a variation: make a handout which is a subset of the material on the slides, to actually hand out. There's a filter which does that in the pandoc lua filter examples, which I adapted a bit.
