I'm an old geezer from London, working in HE, on a break from a doctorate.
I'm a shy, undergrad - pursuing an Bachelors in the Liberal Arts, and an Bachelors in Computer Science simultaneously over a 5 year period. I study the Humanities by day, and STEM by night!
I'm so honoured to be among this community. I can't wait to learn from all of you!
resumed this old account, once created by chance
I'd like to move in the future onto Earth Sciences
Hello Scholar! I'm Artist Marcia X & I finally got my account here!
I'm doing a Masters in Research of Art & Design, or Artistic Research at EINA in Barcelona.
My thesis project:
'La Sangre Llama' is a body of performance and photography/video work exploring this post colonial body (Puerto Rico) and sites of colonial violence in a city (Barcelona). I would say this project explores a lot of what is unseen of monuments, statues and spaces of historical significance.
I am a half-studied rogue with a BA in linguistics, of the European Functionalist persuasion.
I like reading and talking about philosophy, and take way too great joy in picking the wings off people who love logic a bit too much.
I ❤️ Deflationism! Quasi-realism! Anti-fascism! Anti-capitalism!
I will tell you all about the inductive primacy of reason, if you'll let me. That shit's important for all the wrong reasons.
I defo talk too much.

Also, by way of exposing other hatemongers who somehow made it this far:
If you think that "grievance studies" or "cultural Marxism" is anything more than a way for bigots to signal their tolerance of hate to each other, please just close your account now before I do it for you

Hi everyone! I'm about to start a PhD in Linguistics. I previously studied pure and applied math.
Research interests: computational pragmatics, formal semantics, machine learning (primary); phonology, historical linguistics (secondary).
Casual academic interests: philosophy of language, political discourse, (Catholic) sacramental theology.
Personal interests: cats, hiking/camping, music (especially prog rock, jazz, and hip hop).
Site etiquette indicates my first toot should be by way of an introduction. Seldom comfortable tooting my own horn (pun intended)* I'll keep this brief(ish).
I am a philosopher and historian based in Sydney and currently a doctoral candidate at the Macquarie Business School; researching Edmund Burke and his implications for executive leadership.
