i read a thing recently that blew my mind a little.
went something like:
people can imagine time travel to the past and one little act making massive differences in the timeline
but in their present they think even the greatest effort they can put in will not make any difference to the future

I'm looking for conference posters that are NOT in English or other Latin texts for my poster blog.
Anyone know an conference with poster sessions where the primary language is not English and similar?
I know many of my friends would work in PJs all day every day, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I feel more human and grounded when I get dressed as if I'm going to the office. It doesn't matter if I'm working remotely or not.
Every six months or so for the past several years, I've been doing a thread on Fedi about where to buy ebooks other than Amazon. It finally occurred to me that I could write it once, put it up on website, and update as needed, rather than constantly reinventing the wheel.
So, here we are. (And in spite of the title, this isn't JUST about eBooks)

I bet my partner that I wouldn't sell 200 copies of my Field Guide for Thriving in Graduate Studies in the first six months. It's been available for about five weeks now so I figured it's a good time to check. You all... I sold 135 copies already. 😳 I expected like five of my friends to grab a copy but this...
This little guy turned 13 this week. Happy birthday to The Kitten-Headed Adversary of Humanity, or Versus for short.
I have the opportunity to develop a digital lit curriculum for people being released from incarceration, some of whom have done over 20 years in prison.
This has the potential to have huge positive impacts on their lives; they need to know how to attach a resumé to an email, and how to avoid scammers, among many many other basic skills we all take for granted.
Please if you have any input I would appreciate it because I am not omnipotent and can't think of everything.
