Some thoughts on (higher) education (fr. 2012):
1. There is no education without students.
2. Education is fundamental to a modern economy, but is not a business.
3. The 19th century factory model of education & its excessively punitive grading system is anachronistic.
4. Technology is not a panacea.
5. Instructors are only human — help them improve their craft.
6. Students should share common skill sets and literacies.
7. Cultural and intellectual boundaries are ultimately arbitrary.
