What's a good piece of free software for making a video of me presenting some slides?
And, what do I need to understand before I try to make a video like that and put it online?
I found this from the FSF list that @jc posted:
@twsh i havent actually used it but i was looking at kdenlive. it looks comparable to premier pro. the catch is its not on windows.
im assuming you got the presentation video and the slides and want to keep the audio straightforward and cut between the presentation and slides? if yeah then it should only be a little overboard for it.
@sireffe I haven't thought it through yet. I think I want the video to be of the slides, with my voice (and maybe a video, but me talking to a laptop will be boring).
I will look at kdenlive.
@twsh Pretty sure DaVinci Resolve should be able to let you sync stills to audio and render it as a movie. The free version is super capable. If you want to do picture-in-picture for a speaker shot I am less certain but seems likely.
