Baked some vegan cantuccini for my students for the last session before christmas. Used the source code of the recipe[1] to explain the advantages of free and open and repeat some basics.

openTUHH | Policy of Openness in Research and Teaching

Happy and proud to say that the Hamburg University of Technology now has an English translation of its Policy of in and online.[1]

Writing the policy was a collaborative process with colleagues and presidents that I could participate in as a co-author.

Looking forward to observing what effects it has when going forward to further opening up and teaching.

just downloaded all my instagram data, and once i stare at it for long enough, i'm going to write myself a script to turn it into a big static archive on my own site, and then i can purge my instagram account.

(i'll share the script if it's not too cumbersome for a not-me person to use it!)

Spent my day together with my buddies and . We three had a good time building a web app to present research results.

Digital floor plans; This is where we live in

When playing with 35c3.bleeptrack.de/ I realized that it's not just circuit diagrams that we see but also floor plans of the digital housings we live in. Sometimes there are doors, sometimes not, sometimes it's a loft, sometimes a hut.

motelone wants these cups to be used for tooth brushing, but I think they are a great alternative for coffee-to-go cups made of plastic. Got my first coffee from the lobby in them this morning. 👍

Transparent Collaboration in Class

Quite happy about the session with my students this morning. I could inspire them to share a group with each other and me where they collect the literature for their papers collaboratively.
This gives me the chance to recommend literature directly by dragging it into their folders. And I can comment the they find.

Looking forward to how this goes on!

What do you call the area outside of the focus?
