Better news: my proposal to the grad student conference was accepted. Haven't done that kind of presentation in years. Plus, now I won't feel quite so awkward asking a prof for more feedback on the paper.
It'll be fun trying to do "Is a Plant a Document?: The Knowledge Practices of Renaissance Natural History, Francis Bacon, and Contemporary Library Science" in 15-20 minutes when the original paper was more than 20 pages.
